Georgia Massage School to Celebrate One-Year Anniversary of Educating Massage Therapists on October 24, 2010

Independent, Owner-Operated School Looks Back on a Year of Providing a 500-Hour Massage Program and Continuing Education Courses

ATLANTA, GA – October 14, 2010 – On October 24, 2010, Georgia Massage School in Atlanta will celebrate their one-year anniversary of providing massage therapists with a state-approved 500-hour core massage program, and continuing education courses.

Founded by owner-operators Rick Garbowski and Laurie Craig, the massage school was developed on the belief in a relationship between balance, learning, and life. Garbowski and Craig, lifetime massage educators, sought to create a learning environment that addressed the needs of incoming massage therapists with busy schedules. Georgia Massage School’s half-day programs enable students to participate in the school’s four courses comprising a terminal 500-hour certification, and transition to a career as professional massage therapists. Garbowski and Craig drew on their combined 40 years of experience in the massage therapy industry to tailor a unique and engaging state-approved curriculum for comprehensive and effective learning.

In addition to a student-centric massage program, Georgia Massage School’s 3,600 square foot building plan was developed with concurrent input from massage students, and teachers. With a large 1,200 sq/foot massage room and separate 750 sq/foot lecture space, the school’s design was intended to provide aspiring massage therapists with ample room for academic and hands-on work, while ensuring a small and personalized student-to-teacher ratio.

“We believed that quality learning could occur within a well designed curriculum and environment. With the help and support of our family and friends, this past year has provided us and our students with the knowledge that this belief is true,” says Laurie. To learn more about the massage program, RSVP to attend the massage school’s next open house on Tuesday, October 26th by calling 678-482-1100.
